He waited as the pair slipped into the tree. It was one fo the few sources of shelter in Route 24, and he knew it was one of the safest. After all, he had made the little peice of 'heaven' himself. Of course, he had a bit of help with his late-friend, a Shiftry who died off a few years back.
The Lombre shook his head, stepping inside as he let go of the rope. Once inside, the vines and plants fell back into place, blocking out all visual signs of the storm. He plopped down next to the closed entrance, crossing his legs. The dual-type didn't do anything but just stare at trainer and Torchic like the little creeper he could be. Though it didn't look like it, the Pokemon was actually plotting out his next game in his mind.

Kei sighed for a few seconds before finally looking around. It seemed that there wasn't anyone else there, and it was dry.... After a few seconds, he pulled Yu from her place near his chest and set her down. The Torchic stepped onto the ground and looked back at her trainer rather confused only to watch as Kei slowly slipped off his blue jacket then pulled off his traditional shirt showing nothing but bare skin under. o__o; What the heck was he doing? "Peep...." Yu blushed a little and turned around quickly trying to avoid staring at her trainer.
Kei stopped as he looked at Yu and chuckled to himeslf before looking towards the Lombre. "Sorry, I'm just going to get some of moth clothes dry..." he said after a moment before moving closer to the outside, moving a small vine, and then pushing his hands out and squeezing the water out of his shirt and out into the outside before quickly pulling it back and laying it on the ground before doing the same with his jacket.

Why in the World of Pokemon was the human shedding its skin? Oh, wait. Sorry, that was a blond moment on his part. Do Pokemon even have blond moments? I guess that doesn't matter at the moment.
The Lombre turned his attention to the little fire-type. The bird seemed to be pretty much completely dry. Well, that would have to change! If he and the trainer were wet, then it was only fair that the little bird was too. While the Torchic was distracted from... Embarrassment? Now, why would the little female bird be embarrassed from seeing her trainer strip? Anyways, his red beak-like mouth open to form an 'o' kind of shape as he tilted his head up a bit, and a thin stream of water squirted out. The water, being quite quiet, arched in mid-air and quickly descended down on to the Torchic's head.

Yu's eyes grew large as she caught sight of the water coming at her, yet at that moment, she was frozen in a stare of sorts at it. When it finally hit her, she shouted and cried out started by the rain. Upon hearing the cry from his Torchic, Kei looked back rather quickly with a worried look on his face. However, this dissipated rather quickly as he noticed that his small fire chick was now wet. "yoi ok Yu?" Kei asked. The Torchic just stood there fore a few seconds before her eyes grew wide and she cried out again with a rather fierce angry noise. Forming a Peck attack, the small fire bird charged at the Lombre. He was asking for it D<! The cross dressing male blinked a moment watching his angry little chicken and slowly turned his head to one side more or less debating whether or not to assist her or not. After a few seconds, he simply started to pull his moderately dry shirt back on.

Now things were getting good. The Lombre snickered at the Torchic's reaction, though it soon went into full blown laughter. He would have been rolling on the wooden flooring if it weren't for the fact that he now needed to defend himself. The Pokemon held up his aqua-colored arms, sucessfully blocking the pecking attack.
In a split second, the Jolly Pokemon (makes him sound like Santa :D) pulled apart his arms as a thick stream of bubbles shot out. Yes, bubbles. Hey! They were powerful little things, especially when aimed at a fire-type.

Yu was hit by the water attack and cried out startled at the retaliation. "Hey quit that," Kei finally stated as he pulled out his jacket fully again. However, Yu was far too proud at the moment and instead formed another round of Pecks and continued to attack rather irritated. Kei frowned considerably and turned his head to one side unsure of how to call off his Torchic when she was so set on fighting the Lombre. Yu was not going to give up now D< He'd gotten her wet, and now he was going to pay!

What a persistant little bird! The Lombre snickered again, blocking the pecks just as he had before. The green dual-type glanced over at the bird's trainer, still plotting more games in his head. With another burst of speed, the Pokemon locked his gaze back on the Torchic, pulling apart his arms once more in order to quickly clap in front of the fire-type's face (Fake Out).
The Lombre then darted behind the black-haired trainer. Using the human for cover, he peeked his head out and shot more bubbles at the Torchic.

EEEP! The Torchic blinked startled by the Fake Out and stared for a few seconds only to snap out of it after a few seconds. As the bubbles came towards her, Yu charged straight towards the bubbles and then used Peck straight at Kei. Kei, who had little time to react, was hit by the Peck rather than the Lombre and cringed falling back and all but landing on the Lombre. "OW........." the young man groaned a bit. Yu ignored him for now and instead moved around him to peck at the Lombre.

A rather unmanly yelp escaped from the Lombre as the trainer fell back on him. The Pokemon cringed, clawing at the wood flooring in an attempt to slide out from underneath the human. That went as a failed attempt. Black eyes narrowed at the oncoming form of the Torchic. Seriously, could this Pokemon use any other move than Peck? Then again, Lombre himself liked using Bubblebeam, but that was because reflections in the bubbles were always so weird and amazing. Grumbling in defeat on trying to get back up, the Lombre just shot out another fast stream of bubbles.

The Torchic cried out again from being hit by the water move and was quickly becoming tired. This.. this wasn't fair! He was evolved >3< He should be more mature and no attack her D<. After a few seconds, she chirped and then formed another Peck once more retaliating again as quickly as she could. She'd keep pecking till he fainted or until she did!
Kei quickly rose and moved out of the way of Yu not wanting to be pecked again and deciding to simply let the battle play out or something of that nature. "Alright...alright Yu....." Kei sighed rubbing his temple without finishing his statement. Mmmmm....

Letting out a sigh of relief when the human wasn't crushing him, the Lombre picked himself up, shaking his whole body to get rid of the feeling of being sat on. Instead of setting up his arms in a sheild form, he used the Pokemon's head-on attack to his advantage. When the Torchic was close enough, he quickly clapped his hands together on the bird's beak. Hey, he was experimenting with his moves, and Fake Out easily allowed him to do that. Of course, he was still took damage from the attack of the bird's hitting, just like when he was blocking earlier. However, he just didn't show his pain. With the bird so close, the Lombre opened his mouth, letting out a large yell. The yell instantly turned into large, bright, blue-and-white soundwaves.
ooc: Now no one can fall asleep! Yay for Uproar~ -shot-

Kei's eyes grew, yet his pupils dilated at the sound of the Uproar, and almost instantly the dark haired cross dresser had run forwards and made to kick the Lombre as hard as he could. "Don't hurt my EARS!" he shouted angrily. Yu blinked a moment taking damage from the Uproar but mildly stunned to see her trainer suddenly aggravated. It seemed that Kei didn't like noise to say the least of it.

OK, humans were a weaker species physically, but they could pack a... Kick when they wanted to! The Lombre hissed in pain, clutching his stomach with one hand while keeping the other on the ground to steady himself. Glaring up at the trainer, he opened his red bill-like mouth and sent out a thin stream of water, aimed at the trainer's face. Not caring what the trainer decided to do, the dual-type grumbled nonsense to himself as he half-limped half-wobbled over to the closed off entrance. He slipped through the vines and plants, pulling on the rope outside to reveal the stormless route. How long had they been in there? That didn't matter.
The Lombre started heading off in the direction they were originally going in before the storm had started. He was too winded to even attempt to start a new game, so he didn't even try to think of one.

The young man continued to cringe and was rubbing either side of his ears trying to clear the ringing that was now killing his head. Man... that had hurt.... After a few seconds, he was suddenly squirted with water. Hissing a little, he groaned a bit but then noticed that the Lombre had opened up a different path. Debating whether or not to actually follow the odd pokemon, Kei finally sighed and looked back towards Yu who was now hopping around irritated again. Sighing, Kei picked up the small fire type, put her back in his coat close to him, and then started after the Lombre.

Even after all that, the human was still following? Hmph, it was still quite pathetic. The Lombre, still clutching his stomach, slowed down his already slow pace until he was completely still. His eyes were locked on the opening of the trees they had been weaving through. There, the image of the next town seemed to just be painted there. The clouds pretty much just stopped on the invisible border between the Route and the Town. The dual-type turned around to face the trainer, expecting the human to leave the rain infested Route 24 and into the dry Nimbus City.
