The rain that normally pelted the area was falling now and soaking everything with more water as if it didn't already have enough. The marshland that seemed to be used to such things by now was all but unfazed by the rain, really. However, out in the marshy land, a rather distraught figure could be seen trying to fight through the marsh land even as the rain was coming down. Said person, if one looked close enough, was wearing a traditional blue and yellow tight dress and seemed to be pulling socked sandals through the swamp rather than shoes.
In all instances, it seemed completely out of place for Kei to be there, and indeed, he felt completely out of place. He was miserable, and there was nothing he could do about it. What had possessed him to walk through this area had long since been forgotten, yet for now it didn't even matter. He was soaked, tired, and ready to just give up. All he wanted at that moment was just had to find a way to get out of the rain and out of the marsh before it completely and utterly ruined him as if it hadn't already. Sucking in some air, the dark haired young cross dresser sighed to himself and finally stopped a moment to look through the rain for any sign of anything.
Hiding wrapped up in Kei's coat of sorts, a rather distraught Torchic was cringing with her trainer. She hated the rain and would have loved to be inside her pokeball, yet Kei had refused to allow her to go in for fear of being alone in the rain in the marsh...."We'll find a way out of here don't worry Yu," Kei muttered to himself over and over again as he continued to lift his legs up in the marsh and stepping a few feet ahead of him before repeating the cycle.

Not too far from where Kei was trying to march through the mud, a Lombre was watching from behind a bush with mild interest. Trainers normally brought umbrellas and kept away from the heavily muddy areas, so seeing one without doing so was actually pretty amusing. A small grin formed on the aqua-colored Pokemon's bill-like mouth. What amused him even more was that the silly little human had brought a fire-type into an area with a lot of rain. This place was loaded with water-types and Pokemon who loved the rain and mud, so that was a horrible choice right there.
The Lombre tilted his head forwards, allowing all the water collecting in the lilypad hat of his to spill out and slosh on the ground, forming more mud. Sure, it would have went out the back end anyways, but he liked seeing the world through the flow of water. He always held his head to where the rainwater would stay in the lilypad instead of flowing out the back, unlike all the others of his kind.
The dual-type continued watching, snickering occasionally at the random muttering from the human crossdresser.

It was possibly paranoia that finally caused Kei to stop as he felt eyes on him. Yu seemed to look up at her trainer form her place in his coat and reflected a look of confusion as to why he had stopped. However, after a few seconds, the dark haired cross dresser turned around in a full circle before finally catching sight of the Lombre. Well... that was an interesting pokemon... water and grass right? Er... maybe just grass? He wasn't sure when it came down to it.... Should have gotten a book or something on them...erhm... not like I would have read it anyways..... Kei thought to himself. Anyways.... That'd help balance out his single fire type...maybe...
After a few seconds, Kei slowly started over towards the Lombre. He opened his mouth to speak, yet what came out was not what he really had expected at the end of it all. "Hey you... do you know the way out of here?" Kei huffed. Yu sweat dropped considerably wondering what would actually happen now that the Lombre had been acknowledged. If she was made to fight in this horrible weather, Yu was not going to be happy to say the least of it.

What a brave human, just waltzing up to a wild Pokemon while his own Pokemon was at a clear disadvantage. Another snicker escaped from the Lombre, though it ceased at the question. Dumbfounded, the dual-type just stared up at the trainer with a look that said 'are you kidding me?' Who goes up to a random Pokemon and ask for directions? Sure, asking a Xatu or one of the other Pokemon who seemed to know just about everything would be smarter, but asking him? How would he know the way out of Route 24? He never left it in the first place!
OK, that was a complete lie. The Lombre left whenever he pleased, mainly when he needed a change in scenary. Although he knew how to get out, the Pokemon decided to play a few games first. "Bre!" A grin flashed across his face as he turned around, bounding through the undergrowth. If the human was actually expecting the dual-type to lead him into the next town, he would follow. If not, the Lombre could always just change games.

Hu? Was... it really leading him? Oh sweet! Kei looked down at Yu for a half second before then starting after the Lombre as fast as his rather jumbled up legs could carry him. He was moving much faster now and was all but in a rush to keep up with the other pokemon. Yu mentally sweat dropped still wondeirng if she was going to have to fight the Lombre in the end. Something was telling her that she was going to have to, and all the Torchic could do at that moment was sigh and be bounced along as Kei literally ran through the marsh now splashing them both somewhat in the process. Great... as if they could get any more wet =3=.

So, the human was stupid enough to follow him? Arceus, you really should have made these creatures more intelligent... Oh well, that made it all the more fun!
Ducking under a fallen log, the Lombre skidded to a halt in a clearing. He looked around before darting off in another direction. Ah, perfect! The green Pokemon leaped over a large patch of seemingly dry soil. In reality, it was actually a large spot of quicksand. They were in one of the more densely forested areas, so the rain was blocked from dampening the sand into mud too much. The dual-type turned around and sat down, waiting for the human to catch up. Ah, this would be fun indeed.

Kei had continued to follow, literally following the movements of the water/grass type and jumping over the quicksand area without even realizing exactly what it was. Yu cringed feeling both of their forms off the ground as her trainer sprinted through the area but then sighed once it seemed that he had stopped for a moment or two now in front of the Lombre. Kei was all by beat by then and was panting as he tried to catch his breath. "which way now?" he asked after a few seconds.

Disappointment flashing in the Lombre's eyes at his failed little trap. The Pokemon sighed before darting off in another direction. A few minutes passed before the dual-type bounded out of the undergrowth. He skidded to a halt, causing mud to spray everywhere as he slid from the suddent cease of movement. He had just led the human in a huge circle that led to where they had met. The Lombre sat down again, waiting for the human to come back. Then, and only then, would he start another game. 'Follow the Leader' was getting pretty boring.

Somewhere along the time of following the Lombre, Kei had gotten lost and was now no longer following the duel type. This was both a blessing and a curse, really seeing as he now had no idea where in the world he was and had no guide of any sorts. After a few seconds more of waking, the extenuated cross dresser finally sat down under a tree and simply breathed outwards."This is just ridiculous...." he sighed. Yu said nothing but was pretty much thinking the exact same thing, really. She was already ready to peck the heck out of that Lombre for moving so quickly and being a general jerk in general. The rain was definitly not help the situation any as the small fire type only started to grow frustrated with everything and wa sstarting to squirm from her place in Kei's coat.

Minutes passed by. Where did that human go? The Lombre grumbled to himself, heaving himself up from his spot. He didn't want to be the cause of any deaths, and getting lost in all this rain could easily cause one. The dual-type began retracing his steps, pushing himself under fallen logs, over stones, and through the undergrowth. It didn't take him long to find the trainer's footprints already filling with rain water.
He followed the prints in the mud, carefully making sure that he didn't randomly go off track. The Jolly Pokemon soon was able to catch on to the faint scent of the trainer and his Torchic. The Lombre slipped between two trees, coming up behind the tree that the cross dressing trainer sat at. He slipped up beside the trainer, reaching up with a red clawed hand to nudge the trainer. He was going to get the human's attention with a water gun attack, but he decided the lost trainer was soaked enough.
ooc: I REALLY like this Lombre. XD

Upon being poked, Kei's eye slid sideways and reste don the Lombre for a few seconds. "Man you move too fast," he finally laughed after a few seconds shaking his head a bit and then looking down at his socks and sandals. They were a muddy mess along with the rest of him, really. Arceus what he wouldn't kill for a shower... other than the rain of course. After a few seconds, he smilede a little and brought up a hand and set it on Yu's head more or less soothing the Torchic a little. "I'll get up in a sec..." the dark haired man said looking over towards the Lombre. "I'm just not used to running around in this mess..." he chuckled to himself shaking his head a little.

Hm? So, the human wasn't ready to give up on hoping that he knew the way out? This kid was really pathetic. Oh well, it was time for another game! Of course, he (and the mod) needed to think of one, first.
In the mean time, he was actually going to begin leading the boy in the right direction. The Lombre looked around before turning to the right. He started heading in the correct way to the next town, glancing around for anything he could use for a new game.

The slightly fatigued cross dresser forced himself to stand and thens lowly started to follow the Lombre once again. He was tired, wet, and muddy, yet he was willing to go for it anyways seeing as the Lombre made compay no matter how odd it was, indeed.
Yu was extremely displeased with everything and was even growling somehow. However, she made no move to attack or leave Kei's side just yet. No... she'd be mature for now... and just attack whenever the pokemon lowered its guard, yes.
"Chill, Yu," Kei stated aloud causing the Torchic to make a quiet 'hmph' sound at the word chill as well as being called out. She was a fire type. She didn't need to 'chill' ever. For a few seconds, Kei didn't get why she was humping at him before he finally got the pun he had made and laughed a little to himself before looking forwards and continuing to follow the Lombre.

The Lombre looked up at the sky, allowing the water in his lilypad 'hat' to flow out the back this time. The rain seemed to be falling heavier now, and thunder rumbled in the distance. Well, it was Spring. There were more storms during the Spring and Summer days in Route 24.
He glanced back at the pair trailing behind him. Arceus, why did you make such weak creatures? Really? The human was already getting sluggish just because of the cold rain and mud. Then again, he was to blame from making the trainer chase after him earlier. Heh...
The dual-type halted his steps as lightning flashed across the sky, followed shortly after by a loud clap of thunder. Glancing around the area they were currently in, the Pokemon sighed, turning to the trainer and fire-type. They were getting close to the next town, but the storm would just make things complicated. "Lombre..."
As if voicing his thoughts, another flash of lightning brought down a nearby tree, which sunk into the mud upon impact. The Pokemon grumbled to himself, looking around as if searching for something. Ah, there it was! He slinked over to a well-made rope that was just laying limp in the mud. Hey, who ever said a Lombre couldn't be good with his hands? OK, that just sounded wrong... Anyways! The dual-type tugged on the rope, causing some really long vines and other random plants to seperate, revealing an opening in a rather large tree that was conveniently placed (by the mod) only a few yards off. "Bre, lombre." The Lombre motioned for the trainer to go inside.
He really didn't want to be the cause for an illnesses or deaths, so he might as well house the pair until the storm became lighter. That, of course, would take an hour or two.

The sounds of thunder made Yu cringe, and all the Torchic could do was mutter to herself still rather irritated with the entire situation. She wanted out of there dang it! A few chirps of sorts escaped her throat before she fell silent again. She wouldn't show fear dang it! No way no how! Kei was becoming more tired still. He couldn't do much with the sky at the moment, and even when his Torchic seemed irritated, there was nothing he could really do about anything at the moment. The lightning and thunder the shattered the sky caused Yu to cringe and cry out causing Kei to instantly go on edge. However, when it seemed that his Torchic was simply afraid of the storms, he held her closer and breathed inwards. Suddenly the sound of a tree crunching rippled in Kei's ears, and he turned his head just in time to watch the tree fall downwards before sinking into the mud. Oi... this really wasn't safe....
However, before Kei could voice any sort of complaint, he noticed that the Lombre was looking around for something. Upon watching the water/grass type pull at the tree, Kei blinked slowly as he noticed that there was now a sort of... cave in the tree... or something... After a few seconds, Kei realized that he was being directed and then stepped forwards before heading inside. As he stepped inside, Kei slowly moved around and sat down holding the Torchic close to him still and feeling rather glad that he was out of the rain for now. Kei's wet hair dripped water onto the dry floor making 'plop'ing sounds as it hit, and the feminine man had to resist the urge to simply squeeze out all the water right then and there. For now... it would have to remain plastered to his form... much like his clothes as well. Thankfully, he did have one warm bundle of feathers in his coat that was providing him with much needed warmth.
"Thank you...." Kei finally smiled looking towards the Lombre.
