Let's Start with the Basics
Full Name: Theodore Jacob Woolf
Nicknames: Woolf
Gender: Male
Age: 30
Sexuality: Heterosexual (bordering asexual)
Home Town: Shias Town
Type: Shias Town Challenge Arena Head
How About Digging Deeper
Likes:
- Sleeping. Yes, Woolf loves to drift off into dreamland quite a lot. When not eating or battling, one can usually find him catching a few "Zs" somewhere. He isn't picky either. He will curl up on just about anything. From a park bench to a comfy looking tree branch, Woolf has the ability to fall asleep almost everywhere. Yet, somehow, he always seems to complain about being tired.
- Food. Along with sleeping, Woolf also enjoys eating. This, combined with his chronic sleeping, often leads people to compare him to a Snorlax. He isn't a picky eater, and will eat just about anything edible. From rice to escargo, he isn't one to complain about how food tastes. When it comes to favorites, he is actually rather fond of seafood, and will be happily eat anything that, at one point in time, lived in the water. Oddly enough, the one thing he will not eat is chocolate; the one thing that most everyone's loves. It should also be noted that, no matter how much he eats, Woolf will not gain a pound, leading many people to spread rumors of him having a second stomach.
- Peace and Quiet. Woolf loves being alone and just being able to lose himself in his thoughts. He will go out of his way just to find a nice, quiet place to relax. Unfortunately for him, he always seems to have bad luck with this, and is often interrupted for one thing or another before he has the chance to have a few minutes of peace.
- Excitement. Just because Woolf likes his "me-time" doesn't mean he won't go out into the world to enjoy himself. He loves having a good time, and will be the first one to suggest going to do something "fun". However, even in the midst of all the excitement, he will usually still manage to keep his easy-going demeanor, and it is rare to ever see him overly excited. For example, he's not the type of person to freak out when his favorite sports team scores a winning point in the last few seconds. He'd be that one person still sitting down and waving a tiny flag in victory.
- A good challenge. Being an arena head, Woolf is often met with overconfident trainers who think they have what it takes to beat him. Needless to say, they don't last very long. So, when that rare occurrence comes along when he finds a trainer that can match his strength, or even outmatch him, he will be overjoyed, and he will let you know it. He will run up to you, repeatedly shake your hand and tell you just how much that battle meant to him. It can be a little unexpected (and creepy), but he means well. Just don't blow him off and leave before he has the chance the express his feelings. It'll break his little heart!
- Being right. Woolf may be an easy-going guy most of the time, but don't you ever tell him that he is wrong. Being one of the older arena heads, he likes to think that he is all wise and knows what's right for everyone else. He has good intentions with this, but just can't grasp onto the fact that he can make a mistake every once in a while. If you decide to point out that his decision if wrong, be prepared for a complete change in character, and a through scolding.
- Flying Types. Well, this should be a bit obvious. He is the Flying-type Arena Head after all. He doesn't really have a concrete reason for being so fond of the sky-bound Pokemon, but he does love the sense of overwhelming freedom he feels radiating from them. Plus, he loves flying, and is usually seen traveling by air.
- His hair. Oh yes. Woolf has this obsession with his hair, so please don't touch it or try to maim it in any way. It would send him into a depression or fit of rage (depends on the circumstances) if anything happened to just one of his pretty locks.
- The color purple. He just likes it, and it compliments his skin and eye colors well.
Dislikes
- Being woken up. Seriously. Ever heard of the expression let a sleeping dog lie? Well, Woolf takes that literally. He's won't be angry if you wake him up, but he will be visibly bothered. If you do it repeatedly, that's when he'll get angry. However, if you're nice about it, have a good reason for it, or just simply woke him up on accident, he'll forgive you. He'll still be annoyed, but he'll forgive you.
- Kids. It's not all kids that urke him; just the ones that think they're the greatest things in the world just because they have a Pokemon. This is mostly due to many children challenging his arena without being properly prepared, and basically wasting his time. Speaking of which...
- His time being wasted. Since he's older, Woolf is more conscious about how fast time really moves. So, if you decide to waste his time by dragging him to do something he really doesn't want to do, he'll be pretty peeved about it. Unless you want him not to like you, don't do it.
- Romance. Ew. Woolf hates all that lovey-dovey junk. He'll be the first one to advise you against falling in love or following your heart. In his mind, one's heart if just there to lead one astray, and will only get someone hurt if they follow it. He has his reasons, but don't expect him to talk about them. Just know that he's not the best person to come to for advise on romance.
- Being wrongly judged. He hates people who judge a book by it's cover, mostly because most people do that to him. People often describe him as "lazy" or "careless" when he most certainly is is not. Well, okay he can be a bit lazy and sometimes let things slip by him, but that's not all there is to him, and he can't stand when people judge him only by those two traits. There is more to people than what you see on first impression.
- Being embarrassed. Especially if it's publicly. He just hates when people see him make a mistake, and will run off before people have the chance to ridicule him for it. He's still a bit immature in this sense, and can't face up to his own mistakes. He'd rather just run away from it all.
- Showing negative emotions to people. Aside from anger and annoyance, you will usually never see Woolf show his true, "negative" emotions. This includes (but is not limited to) emotions such as sadness, depression, insecurity, and uncertainty. They show weakness in his eyes, and being weak is not something he wants to be.
- Monotony. Woolf likes a little variety in life, and just can't stand doing the same thing everyday. That is why he became a trainer. Excitement and variety come with the job description! He's actually to the point he's afraid of monotony, and will freak out if he finds himself falling into a "rut" of habit.
- Being called "Theo". He doesn't want to talk about it. Just don't do it, okay?
Phobias
- Philophobia ; the fear of falling in love
- Homophobia ; the fear of sameness, or things never changing (this does not mean he is afraid of homosexuals by any means)
- Agathoraphobia ; the fear of abandonment, in particular, the fear of rejection.
- Dentophobia ; fear of dentists (don't go near his teeth...ever )
Overall Personality:
Overall? Well, most of Woolf's personality can be drawn from his likes and dislikes. He's a pretty easy-going guy. He usually has a pretty level head, usually. However, this doesn't mean he's completely calm about everything that happens. He can be pretty spastic at times, usually depending on how much sleep he got the day before. The less sleep he gets the calmer, he will be. (I know, weird, right?)
When it comes to other people, Woolf is usually pretty outgoing and easy to get along with. He isn't one to freeze up when talking to a new face, but he also isn't one to pour his whole life story out to someone he's barely met. He's somewhere in that middle ground, which is good considering his job description calls for him meeting and battling complete strangers quite often. When it comes to people he considers as friends, he is a pretty decent friend to have. He's loyal to a point, but he's not one of those people who would jump in front of a bullet for someone. If in danger, he will usually think about saving his own hide before anyone else's. You would have to be pretty important to him for him to even begin to think otherwise. Other than that, he's a trustworthy guy, and one you can confide your secrets in. He's not a gossiper, so you don't have to worry about him blabbing to anyone about your one-night stands or anything.
Woolf's battling style is pretty direct. Because most Flying-type Pokemon are based around Speed and Attack, he goes with moves that compliment that. Going out against him with a big, slow Pokemon would not be the best idea. He will just fly circles around you, literally. His Pokemon like to focus on dodging, throwing in a strong attack or two when they get an opening. Their main goal is to tire out the opposing Pokemon to give them an even greater advantage. Overall, Woolf's a good trainer, as one of his rank should be.
Lastly, despite how much Woolf likes to hide it, he's really insecure and emotional unstable. Despite years having past since that defining moment which brought these problems on, he has never gotten that closure to just accept what happened and move on with his life. He needs that someone whose going to stick by him and get him past this point in his life by not babying him like every other person has done before. Only then will he be able to get over this instability.

History:
Woolf doesn't like talking about his history. No, it's not some horrible, dark past that involves nothing but suffering and torment for our poor little subject. No. It's nothing like that, but there are some parts that he would rather forget about all together.
The chubby little bundle of joy that was Theodore Woolf was born on a warm August day in the town of Shias. He was all his parents could have hoped for, and more. Their first child, and what a beautiful (and fat one) he was! Both believed they were ready to take on the responsibilities as parents, and they were right for the most part. You see, Woolf's parents were one of those couples who went to every parenting class they could find as well as owning every book on child raising and caring available. However, some things just require experience, and lucky for Woolf, his parents got a hang of the whole parenting thing pretty quickly.
The rest of his life all the way from Kindergarten to the twelfth grade was completely and totally irrelevant to the character he is now. He got a sister. Great. He got average grades and school. Wonderful. He started traveling as a trainer after graduating high school and got Patriot the Rufflet as his first (and still main) Pokemon. Even better. But none of the events that happened in that time period would be of any use to this history, (well, except obtaining Patriot but that's beside the point) and would just require more useless reading for something that doesn't even affect the character directly. It wasn't until Woolf's second year of traveling that things begin to get interesting.
It was one of those rainy days out. Only the determined or completely stupid would be out traveling on a day like this, and Woolf wasn't one of them. As the rain started to come down, he ran to the nearest building which, fortunately for him, was a fully functional Pokemon Center. It seemed a lot of people had the same idea as he did as the place was pretty full. Because of the lack of seat, Woolf was forced to sit next to a complete stranger, a decision that would ultimately lead him into the biggest tragedy of his life.
Woolf had sat next to a girl, a women rather, with long brunette hair that fell in loose curls to the small of her back. And she had the most brilliantly warm and inviting chocolate eyes. Those eyes were the one aspect that Woolf had first noticed, and were what convinced him to start a conversation with her. The two soon discovered they were very much alike, both traveling and wanting to be trainers. There was an instant chemistry between the two, and they very next day they left on a new journey together. They grew closer and closer with every moment they spent together, and Woolf can't remember a happier period in his life that those years spent traveling with the brown-eyed beauty named Charlotte.
Some years past and Woolf and Charlotte had officially become a couple. Woolf had never loved someone or something with more raw emotion than he did that girl. Everything she did just amazed him. Her movements, her behaviors, and that cute little speak in her voice when she called him "Theo". As their relationship flourished, so did Woolf's training career. It wasn't long after that his skills were noticed by the current Shiasa Arena Head, a wanderlust older man who had been looking for a replacement for quite some time. After taking a good beating from Woolf, the former head decided to offer Woolf the opportunity to take his place. Of course, Woolf accepted, and had finally reached the epitome of all his hard work. He wouldn't be one of those washed-up trainers who never end up doing anything with themselves after their travels were over. But, things started to spiral downhill after the twenty-something accepted the job. Charlotte started acting...different around him. She wasn't as bubbly as she used to be, and they were getting in more fights now then they had in their entire time together. After some deep thinking, Woolf decided that she had become restless in being stuck in this one town. It was at that very moment that he came up with a plan.
He was going to propose to her. Yes, he would propose to her and then he would take her on a month long honeymoon journey. Surely that would solve everything, and it would also bring them closer together than they had ever been before. It all made perfect sense to him. He went out and bought a beautiful diamond ring for her. A girl could never have asked for a prettier looking engagement ring. He would take her out to dinner that night, as she said she had something she wanted to discuss with him as well, and at the end of the night he would make her his until death due them part. But, Woolf never did get to live his happily ever after.
She broke up with him. Yes. On that very night, Charlotte left Woolf alone, heartbroken and confused, at the restaurant table. She didn't even bother to pay for some of the bill. She just ate, broke up with him, and then left. Woolf didn't know what was going on. Sure, things had been different lately, but he didn't think she had fallen out of love with him. Could a person really stop loving someone so quickly and easily. He just couldn't believe any of it, he wouldn't! But it was true.
It took weeks for Woolf to get back into the swing of things. For days on end he had locked himself up in his apartment, refusing to come out even for a challenger. He was a mess. He barely ate, and sleep didn't come easily to him. Oh, and don't even mention his hygiene during this time. When he finally recovered enough to come out of his apartment, it was still a long while before he was back to his old self again. It was during this recovery period he had discovered the real reason for Charlotte's dumping him. She had found another man in the city. He was older, more mature and experienced, and completely loaded. No wonder Charlotte went after him. Woolf just wished he had seen this side of her before it was already too late. But, even after finding this out, Woolf was still in love with her, and possibly even holds feeling for his past lover today. When one's heart has loved someone as deeply as his has, it is just about impossible to ever fully stop loving them.
From then on, things just kept improving for Woolf. He got the knack of being an arena head, and he is currently living happily in his small apartment with his Pokemon (except Amelia. She's just too big for the limited amount of space). What's in store for Woolf in the next chapter of his life? Only time and fate can tell.
