That dreaded ball of fire floated in the middle of the sky, telling those who knew how to read the time from the position of the sun and moon that it was around noon. A sigh escaped the lips of a teenager walking next to a large, moving rock creature. The boy ran a hand through his spikey blond hair, trying (and failing) to calm it down. He kept his pace slow, just so he could be next to the Gigalith instead of being a few feet ahead of the slower being.
Said Compressed Pokemon kept inching closer to its trainer, unsure of its current surroundings. Well, it was either that or because of all the people. Cruscius City was, after all, the second largest city in all of Manen. The Gigalith glanced over at the blond as its trainer rested a hand on the tall, red, crystalline sprouting from the top of its head.
Yoshi flashed a reassuring smile at the rock Pokemon. "Don't worry, bud. We won't be in Cruscius for long. We'll be back in Caster before you know it!" Light relief flooded off the Pokemon who had been with the teenager for twelve years. He didn't like being in other cities that had a different climate than the city he and his Pokemon were raised in, so Yoshi would make sure that they weren't going to overstay their welcome.

Gwendolyn yawned deeply as she walked down the streets of Cruscius City. She'd been up late all night with a few of her drinking buddies, and now that the sun was up and stating that it was noon, she was debating whether or not to have Stephaney, her Gardevoir, take her home or not. She really wouldn't mind staying in the city longer, as long as Gwen was sure that nothing was wrong back at the arena, yet then again, there always seemed to be a challenger waiting whenever she did get back home which, depending on what time she got home, tended to be a problem sometimes. It wasn't as though she didn't like being a challenge head. Far from it really, Gwen relished battles and found them quite enjoyable even when she lost. However, sometimes it seemed to restrict her movements far more than she liked and caused quite a bit of irking here and there. Meh... oh well.
As she walked, Gwen brought up a hand and ran her fingers through her short, teal hair strands wondering if her hair was a mess or not. Probably so given the fact that she had been out all night. Mmmm.. After a moment, the dark skinned woman stopped and stared at her reflection in the glass store window and found herself frowning a little at her general appearance. Meh.. she would fix her make up and things later when she actually had to worry about such measures. After a few seconds more of staring at her refection, Gwen chuckled to herself and then started to turn and walk again down the street only to bump straight into someone somehow. "Oi... sorry," she sighed wondering how in the world she kept running into people. She had nearly run that other kid over hadn't she? Ya... maybe this was becoming a bad habit or something of the like.... hopefully not, really.

Sure, being in a large, busy city made him aware that someone was bound to run into him. However, he hadn't expected it to be so soon! Yoshi just sighed, letting his random anger disappear along with the breath.
"It's fine..." He grumbled, stuffing his hands into his pockets. Blue eyes glanced up at the person who bumped into him, Wait... Wasn't that... It was! He shook his head, straightening his posture. "Oh, eh... Hey, Gwendolyn!" Well, he didn't know much about her, but she was a fellow Challenge Arena Head, allowing him to at least know her name.

Is that alchohol I small? Blech! She's been drinking... Well, that would explain why she wasn't watching where she was going. That either meant she was still a bit drunk or hungover. We'll go with hungover.
"Eh, I'm just here due to errands. Mother still has be running around doing her chores, even if I am normally 'caught up' at the Arena." Well, the errands part was true. Being the Arena Head for the last arena in the Manen Region meant that he didn't get challenged too often. That was probably because they were too caught up training and, well, getting stuck at the other Arenas. Life got pretty boring while waiting for them.

The dark skinned woman half laughed quietly to herself as she heard the explanation of sorts. Well, wasn't that easy for him? Heh, each challenger did have to battle the previous arenas before finally challenging her as well as this young man who came later. Gwen felt increasingly sorry for whatever poor sap was the first arena head... Eh... She'd remember a name when her head wasn't mildly fuzzy.... not a bad fuzzy just... fuzzy. After a moment, she found herself looking at the pokemon again and then back at Yoshi.
"Got some time to eat breakfast or lunch or brunch with me?" she asked with an easy air about herself still. She hadn't eaten since the night previously, and even that hadn't been a lot, really. If she could recall correctly, someone had made a half-hearted comment about her gaining weight, and with that, she had dropped most of dinner the previous night... and well.. it was noon or somewhere along that wasn't it? Er... Well the sun was out, heh.....

Well, he already had breakfast, so that crossed out both the first and last option. Lunch? He never actually ate lunch, ever. His mother would always fuss over him 'not getting enough nutrients' or something, but he never ate. Yoshi was normally the kind of boy he ate a large, and I mean large, breakfast, so that normally tided him over until around three. Then, he would just snack until dinner time.
The blond didn't want to be rude, however. "Eh, sure! Lunch sounds nice... Do you know any place around here?" Yup, he had absolutely no clue where the food joints were in Cruscius. That just goes to show how many times he leaves Caster City.

Gwen half chuckled to herself glad to see that he had accepted at least one sort of food prospect ro another. At the idea of lunch, she stopped a moment and seemed to think about where they were again. Ah, there we go... "How does a diner sound? I know of a pretty good one just a bit away from here," she asked after a few seconds thinking up the streets and things. What came with traveling frequently was a general knowledge of two things: the important people in the world and the best restaurants in each city. The first, was actually more... well ... one would simply have to pay attention more than with the second, to say the least of it. Though then again, Gwen had gained both from her travels despite the general differences between the two subjects. Though she wouldn't admit it under most circumstances, Gwen also knew where the best bars in all of the region were, heh...... "Or there's a traditional shop with a bunch of rice dishes and what not a bit away too. Either or are really good," she half grinned.

The blond balled his right hand into a fist and placed it right below his nose, while his other hand cupped under his right elbow, making him have that 'Thinker' kind of pose. Though, my description just failed at that. Meh, ignore the roleplayer.
Yoshi thought for a few moments, which seemed like hours in his mind. He then brought his hand away from his mouth, blue eyes staring at the woman. "How about the shop? I'm not really into those fancy diners, no matter how unfancy they try to be." The boy stuffed a hand into his pocket, bringing out the miniture Pokeball his Gigalith used. He pressed the button, making the sphere click as it enlarged. The button was pressed once more as he held it out towards the large Pokemon.
"Sorry, Gigalith, but I don't think the shop owners would like you breaking through the flooring again..." By again, he meant the one time he decided to bring the moving boulders into a store. That ended with a huge hole in the floor and angry shopkeepers. A bright light shot out from the Pokeball, and the large rock-type disappeared into the dual-colored sphere. He always wondered what Pokemon do in the Pokeballs, but he never got the time to ask a Professor.

Indeed, Gwen found herself staring rather carefully at the boy as he 'thought' in a rather interesting pose of sorts. It reminded her of a certain statue somewhere, though she couldn't quite remember off hand where it was....Or was it from a book maybe? Eh, who knew at that point. After a moment when the boy resolved to asking about the more traditional of shops, Gwen found herself grinning a bit. Mmmm that did sound pretty good... She could order some really spicy egg rolls or something along with a few rice dishes, and they were generally cheaper somehow than the diners anyways. All around it sounded better. After a few seconds, she smirked and nodded her head a bit.
"Sounds good," she answered back rather easily before watching the large rock pokemon disappear into the ball. It was then that Gwen remembered that seeing as he was the last challenger, Yoshi had the random assortment of pokemon.... were as the other challenge arena heads had specific types. She wondered what it would be like to have different pokemon. Then again, Gwen was perfectly satisfied with what she had and wouldn't give any of them up for anything... especially her darling Stephaney.
After a few seconds of simply standing there, Gwen smiled a bit and then slowly started to lead up the street towards the shop of sorts. It wasn't very far away at all, and soon enough, the teal haired woman found herself stopping right in front of it.Reaching forwards, she pushed open the door and went inside. The shop itself was rather small with only a few tables and things, yet it had an extremely comfortable air about it. Already knowing the general routine of sorts, Gwen made a motion and then started off towards one of the bar-like areas before seating herself down on one of the bar chairs.

Yoshi found himself gazing at just about everything as he followed the older Challenge Head. He blinked a few times, his mind finally registering that they had arrived. The blond continued to follow the woman until they were at the bar-like area of the shop.
The Seventh slipped into the bar stool next to Gwendolyn, investigating every corner of the shop with his eyes before glancing over at the woman. "So... What's the best thing to order here?"
